HANDY TIPS TO PREPARE FOR A POSSIBLE POWER CUT

HANDY TIPS TO PREPARE FOR A POSSIBLE POWER CUT
  1. locate all your candles and battery operated torch lights and place them in an easily accessible position.
  2. Plug in your phone and have it charging before your power cuts.
  3. Install a torchlight app on your phone.
  4. Boil a kettle and fill a few flasks of hot water, again leaving them in easily accessible places.
  5. Fill any hot water bottles you have in your home.
  6. Make some sandwiches (Turkey is a good choice this time of year) wrap them in tinfoil, they may come in handy later.
  7. Freeze a few plastic bags of water into ice. If the power cuts later these will help keep your fridge and freezer colder until power is restored.
  8. Check on an elderly or needy friend or relative.
  9. Make sure any pets or animals you have are safe also.
  10. If you have any portable chargers, make sure they are fully charged.

Again all of this is only precautionary advice, you may not suffer any power loss, but you can be sure that other people will.
