Property Damage Caused By Storm Barra

Homes and businesses up and down the country have been badly damaged this morning during Storm Barra as a number of weather warnings continue with gusts of over 130km/h.

There has been extensive flooding reported in Cork and approximately 60,000 homes are currently without power throughout the country. Multiple properties in Cork have been extensively flooded with the latest reports noting damage to homes in Tralee also.

Evelyn Cusack the Head of Forecasting at Met Éireann has warned that Dundalk and Drogheda are particularly at risk of flooding, with high tide expected at 1 pm.
